Development of Eurasian Integration in New Economic Reality Discussed at Forum in Tavricheskiy Palace

The X Annual International Forum “Eurasian Economic Perspective” – 2022 “Development of Eurasian Integration in the New Economic Reality” kicked off in the Tavricheskiy Palace.

Representatives of the authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the business community, politicians, academia and experts from the leading universities of the region discussed the economic development of Greater Eurasia, steps to be taken by the leading states of the region to develop it as a center of economic power, as well as mechanisms and institutions needed for this.

The event is traditionally organized by the St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

The event was attended by Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Chair of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Economy Igor Maksimtsev, IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy, Chair of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich, Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Presidential Experts’ Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Golikov, Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the Union State Dmitriy Mezentsev, Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Sohail Khan and others.

During the forum, experts discussed ways to organize the common economic space of Greater Eurasia, industrial cooperation, technology transfer and non-resource exports, energy security, tools for the development of the EAEU financial infrastructure, challenges for the EAEU customs and logistics system and other issues.
