International Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary Process
The IPA CIS Observer Team met with Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Chynybai Tursunbekov. At the meeting the Speaker expressed gratitude to Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko for assistance in organizing the international monitoring of the presidential elections and thanked the observers for their activities, as well as for the objective and fair conclusions on the results of the monitoring.
As Chynybai Tursunbekov mentioned the importance of the practice of international missions of the IPA CIS . “Your teams are always actively involved in the monitoring process and demonstrate a balanced and objective position”, he said.
Coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Team, Chairman of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues Viktor Zavarzin congratulated the people of the Kyrghyz Republic and the country's leadership on the success of the elections. “The elections have been held. People made their conscious choice, and all necessary conditions for it were provided”, he said.
The meeting brought together members of the IPA CIS Observer Team: member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on Health Care and Social Affairs Hayk Babukhanyan, member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on Territorial Administration, Local-Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Suren Manukyan, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Korzh, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Agriculture, Water and Land Resources Olimjon Safarov, Director of the International Institute of Monitoring Democracy, Parliamentarism and Suffrage for the IPA CIS Member Nations Dmitriy Gladey and Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev.
