Run-Off Presidential Elections in Republic of Moldova to Take Place on 15 November 2020

According to the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova, following the presidential elections on 1 November 2020, none of the candidates for President of the Republic of Moldova received the necessary number of votes to win. Thus, according to the electoral legislation of the country, a run-off election is scheduled to take place on 15 November 2020.

The two candidates with the highest number of votes in the first round will compete for the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova: the independent candidate Igor Dodon and Maia Sandu nominated by the “Party of Action and Solidarity”.
