Elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for 9 October

Eigth presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on 9 October 2013, according to the Chairman of the national elecom Mazahir Panahov. Calendarwise, he said, the election day fell on 16 October which is a holyday of Muslim Fast break. The elecom has the authority to move the date, which we did, and that is 9 October, one week earlier. The election campaign legally begins 60 days ahead of the elections.
