IPA CIS observers met Lidia Ermoshina

IPA CIS international observers headed by Yuliy Vorobiev, Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the federal Assembly of the Russian Federation held a meeting with the Chairperson of the election Commission of the Republic of Belarus Lidia Ermoshina.
According to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the head of the state is elected for 5 years by direct equal and universal suffrage by secret ballot.
Presidential candidates are proposed by initiative groups with no less than 100,000 signatures. There are 4 candidates who are standing for election on 11 October.
For this election there are 6,129 ballot station; 49 of them are abroad in 37 different countries.
The list of voters for the presidential election in Belarus includes 6,995,181 people; 5,742 of them are enlisted for voting abroad.
The total number of international observers at the presidential election makes 880 people. They are accredited by the Central Commission.
