IPA CIS observers met with the Head of the Almaty chapter of Nur Otan party

Ahead of the senatorial elections, IPA CIS observers met with the Head of the Almaty chapter of Nur Otan party. The observers were briefed on the activities of the party and its place in the election campaign. In contrast to party-based elections of other public bodies, senatorial elections are non-partisan. The candidates are nominated by maslihats or individually.
