Parliamentary elections in Serbia

Early elections of members of Parliament of the Republic of Serbia took place on 24 April.
The IPA CIS Observer Team on a short-term monitoring mission in Serbia was led by Member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Alexander Vainberg.
In its post-elections findings, the Team stressed that the set-up and the procedure of the elections complied with national electoral law and international standards of democratic elections. The election authorities provided all necessary conditions for a smooth voting process of citizens. The stakeholders to the election process demonstrated a high level of trust for the authorities in charge of the elections.
Members of the IPA CIS team met with representatives of Serbian election authorities, OSCE ODIHR officials and leaders of the main political parties running for the elections. They discussed the role of election monitoring during the current elections, shared on the statistics and feedback regarding the ongoing democratic process.
