Public opinion on referendum mechanism discussed in Chisinau

Chisinau held a press conference after the opinion poll. The subject of the press conference is The Public Opinion of the Republic of Moldova on Referendum Mechanism.
It was organized by the Chisinau branch of the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary Process and Suffrage in the CIS together with the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the Association of Sociology and Demography of the Republic of Moldova.
The press conference was held under the umbrella of the joint project of the Chisinau branch of IIMDP IPA CIS, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and the Association of Sociology and Demography of the Republic of Moldova. The name of the project is Referendum Mechanism as the Highest Form of Democracy.
According to Eugeniu Shtirbu, Director of the Chisinau branch of IIMDP IPA CIS, the project is divided into three stages. The first stage took place from 10 to 21 February.
The second stage will take place late March – early April.
The third stage will take place in May, with a symposium as its pinnacle. It will be attended by scholars, representatives of NGOs and civil society, leaders of political parties, and international experts.
