Meeting of IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission Took Place in Tavricheskiy Palace

On 24 February 2022, a meeting of the IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters.

The event was attended by representatives of the parliaments of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as staff members of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

The meeting participants discussed the issues of current financing of the activities of the Interparliamentary Assembly and the implementation of its budget. In accordance with the Regulations on the IPA CIS Permanent Commissions, the election of the chair and deputy chairs of the Commission took place during the meeting. Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on Law Enforcement, Combating Crime and Corruption Iskender Matraimov was elected as Chair of the IPA CIS Budget Oversight Commission. Member of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs Valentina Nazarenko and First Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for Budget and Financial Markets Elena Perminova were elected as deputy chairs.
