IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights meets in the Tavricheskiy Palace

Chair of the Commission, Chair of the Committee on Regional Issues of Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Arif Rahimzade opened the session.

The session will consider draft model laws on Medical Insurance, Migration, recommendations on Organized Recruitment for Short-Term Contracts in the CIS, Concept recommendations on Guarding Medical Personnel and Facilities during Armed Conflicts and other Situation of Violence.

The IFRC (Red Cross) will present the findings of its survey on the awareness of labor migrants on prevention of TB and HIV.

The session will also be briefed on the CIS program on prevention and treatment of diabetes in 2016-2020, changes to the Long-Term Plan of Model Law-Making in 2011-2015, and discuss proposals on future law-making efforts and implementation of model laws prepared by the Commission.

The session is expected to elect Deputy Chairmen of the Commission.
