All-Russian Water Congress Took Place in Moscow

From 30 September to 2 October 2020, the All-Russian Water Congress “Water Resources – National Priorities and Challenges. New Areas of Economic and Technological Development of the Water Sector” was held in Moscow.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology Natalia Amburtseva represented the IPA CIS at the event.

A number of round tables on topical issues of the industry were held as part of the event.

On 1 October, the plenary session “National Projects as Drivers of the Development of the Water Sector. Adjustment of Goals and Objectives Until 2030” was held within the framework of the Сongress. The session was opened by Chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Federation Council Alexei Mayorov. He delivered greetings to the participants on behalf of Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

Panel sessions, discussions and master classes were held as part of the Congress. Recommendations to the executive authorities on the development of the water management complex were developed based on the discussions.
