Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery is a national shrine to the immense labor and effort of the people of Leningrad and the entire country who fought against Fascism.
Every year people come to lay wreaths and flowers to mark special dates in the national and city’s history: on 22 June, the first day of the War, on 8 September, the first day of the Leningrad Siege, on 27 January, when the Siege was lifted, and on 8 May – the last day of the War.
