The IPA CIS delegation will participate in the PAM session

The IPA CIS delegation is led by Deputy Secretary General – representative of MajlisiOli of the Republic of Tajikistan Ibod Rakhimov.
The Plenary Session will focus on migration issues and anti-terrorism efforts. In addition to regional peace and security, the delegates will debate such important themes as the economic crisis, unemployment, climate change, water shortage, inter-cultural and cross-religious dialogue, comprehensive measures necessary to counter violent extremism and ensure the promotion of political stability and sustainable socio-economic development.
More than two hundred delegates, including high-level representatives from international parliaments, the United Nations and other regional organizations, will attend the Plenary and address the Assembly.
According to PAM’s web-site, the meeting in Tirana will be dedicated to open debates on future strategies and policies to be adopted by the Assembly. This exercise will facilitate the PAM’s role in contributing to the collective measures that the international community must undertake to face the numerous challenges of the Mediterranean region through the instruments of parliamentary diplomacy.
The IPA CIS delegation will take part in PAM’s deliberations as part of the Session and discuss with its leadership the cooperation between the two Assemblies.
