Upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan discussed in Strasbourg

On the part of IPA CIS, Leonid Sloutskiy, Member of the State Douma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Coordinator of IPA CIS Observation Team at the Presidential Elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alexey Sergeev, IPA CIS Council Secretary General, Nikolay Samoseyko, Member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Yermek Zhoumbayev, Member of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Bolot Sher, Member of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, took part at the meeting.
The parties shared information on the level of preparation of the missions for observation, on teams and their objectives, and discussed common work during short-term observation, including on the day of the elections. The parties expressed intent to continue electoral monitoring cooperation between IPA CIS and PA CE, both in Azerbaijan, and in the context of the general dimension of international observation.
