9th Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions Kicked Off in Grodno

On 30 June 2022, the 9^th Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions kicked off in Grodno. In 2022, the Forum dedicated to cooperation and deepening the integration processes of the Union State. Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation co-organized this event. Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko takes part in the Forum.

Executive Secretary of the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges Stanislav Korostelev spoke at the dialogue platform “Legislation of the Union State: Current State and Main Directions for Further Convergence”. He analyzed the dependence of the speed and directions of integration on the state of the security environment.
