Armenia celebrates the Constitution Day

Constitution Day is an official holiday in the republic. The Constitution of the Republic of Armenia was adopted by a national referendum on July 5, 1995.
The amendments to the RA Constitution were approved by a referendum held on November 27, 2005 and the latest amendments were made on 6 December 2015.
The Constitution established Armenia as a democratic, sovereign, social, and constitutional state. Yerevan is defined as the state's capital. Power is vested in its citizens, who exercise it directly through the election of government representatives. The President of the Republic shall be the guarantor of the independence, territorial integrity and security of the Republic of Armenia.
Celebration of the Republic of Armenia Constitution Day is held throughout the country and traditionally ends with fireworks.
