Azerbaijan MPs Adopted Amendments to a Number of Laws

Members of Milli Mejilis of the Azerbaijan Republic adopted amendments to the Tax Code, the Law on Notaries, the Law on Social Insurance and the Law on State Land Cadastre, Land Monitoring and Land Management.
The MPs also adopted amendments to the Law on State Registration and State Register of Legal Entities, the Law on Non-governmental Organizations (public associations and foundations) and the Law on Grants.
Speaker of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Sahiba Gafarova summarized the results of the special session of the parliament and noted that 35 laws and decisions had been adopted by MPs. The Speaker of the Parliament also stressed that the members of the Milli Mejlis held several meetings and negotiations with foreign colleagues via videoconferencing, which promotes the development of international cooperation.
Sahiba Gafarova thanked the MPs for their fruitful work and congratulated them on the International Day of Parliamentarism, which is celebrated on 30 June.
