CEC of Republic of Armenia Announced Date of First Meeting of Newly Elected Parliament

On 22 July 2021, Chair of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Mukuchyan announced the date of the convening of the newly elected National Assembly for the first session.

The head of the CEC clarified that, according to the law, in case of snap parliamentary elections, the first meeting of the MPs is convened on the second Monday following the formation of the newly elected National Assembly, at 10:00. Thus, as reported by the department, the first meeting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia of the eighth convocation will be held on 2 August 2021.
