Day of Russian National Flag Celebrated in Tavricheskiy Palace

The event brought together the representatives of the IPA CIS, the Civic Chamber of St. Petersburg and city administration.

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova in her speech emphasized the importance of this holiday for the whole country.

Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Elena Kuzina expressed her gratitude to all the participants and the partners of the holiday. She also recalled that 2022 had been declared the Year of Folk Art and Cultural Heritage in the CIS. An exhibition of folk costumes prepared by the St. Petersburg House of Nationalities opened in the Catherine’s Hall of the Tavricheskiy Palace.

The event ended with a concert of folk art groups.
