Jogorku Kenesh Members Introduced Recommendations on Sport Development in Kyrgyzstan

On 10 June, the MPs adopted amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Physical Education and Sport at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Deputy Director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Arpachiev presented information about the draft law.
According to the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh, the draft law aims to fulfill the anti-doping obligations, implement the anti-corruption plan and improve the legal and regulatory framework in the field of physical education and sport.
The MPs also outlined the need to improve the social security of athletes – revise the estimated nutritional standards, provide all essential medicines, clothes, textbooks, as well as increase the government support for injured athletes or disabled sportspersons.
During the meeting, the MPs of the Jogorku Kenesh also adopted amendments to the Law on Exchange of Credit Information and the Law on National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Banks and Banking Activities. The changes are aimed at the development of bank loans to the population and the sustainability of the financial and banking system.
