MPs of Republic of Uzbekistan Ratified Agreement on Cooperation Between CIS Countries on Fighting Counterfeiting

Today, a regular meeting of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan discussed and approved the draft law on the ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation Between the CIS Member States to Prevent and Suppress the Use of False Trademarks and Geographical Indications.

This agreement was signed on 28 May 2021 at a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government in Minsk (Republic of Belarus). The purpose of the document is to create conditions allowing to cooperate on issues of prevention, detection and suppression of the facts of production and sale of goods with applied false trademarks and geographical indications, as well as the movement of such goods across the state borders of the Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
