New Chair of Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan Appointed

Today, a meeting of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic was held. Tynchtyk Shaynazarov was elected as the new Chair of the Central Commission in an open vote.
He noted that the Commission’s priorities would be to improve the electoral system, increase its transparency and independence, and strengthen citizens’ trust in elections.
