Parliamentary Elections in Kyrgyzstan Scheduled for 4 October 2020

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Zheenbekov called for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh on Sunday, 4 October 2020.

The President mandated the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to undertake necessary measures to ensure rule of law, human rights and freedoms of citizens, sanitary and epidemiological security, protection of public health, law enforcement and public security during the period of preparation and holding of the elections. It should also contribute to the work of the Central Commission on Elections and Holding Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic in ensuring cyber-security of information electronic systems, data exchange using the system of electronic interdepartmental cooperation, as well as in guaranteeing continuous and safe communication channels and updating voter lists.
