Preparations for “Children of Commonwealth” Forum Discussed in Uzbekistan

On 2 May, holding of the “Children of the Commonwealth” International Cultural and Educational Forum in the Republic were discussed at the meeting held in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat headed by its Deputy Head – Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD Ivan Mushket, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Makhmadaliev, Head of the Department for Youth Affairs and Volunteer Development in Educational Institutions of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Umidulla Sattarov, employees of the Senate staff, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan exchanged information on the preparation of the event.
The forum is scheduled to be held at the “Semurg” children’s health camp in Bostanlyk District of Tashkent Region in the last decade of June. Schoolchildren from the CIS countries will enjoy competitions, meetings with famous people, intellectual games and master classes.
The “Children of the Commonwealth” International Cultural and Educational Forum was initiated by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, supported by the IPA CIS. The first forum was held in 2013 in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata, in a boarding house on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. In 2021, the forum “Children of the Commonwealth” was held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.
The main goal of the project is to create an international platform for the education of children and youth in a spirit of good neighborliness and cooperation.
