Republic of Kazakhstan Celebrates National Symbols Day
04 June 2024
On 4 June, the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of National Symbols. On this date in 1992, the Laws on the National Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the National Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and on the Musical Edition of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan were signed.
On 4 June 2007, Kazakhstan adopted the Constitutional Law on National Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to it, 4 June is celebrated as the National Day of National Symbols.
The State Flag of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a rectangular breadth of blue colour with the image of the sun in its center with a soaring steppe eagle underneath. The central heraldic element of the State Emblem is the image of shanyrak (an arched cross-shaped top of the Kazakh yurt), which is a symbol of family well-being, peace, and tranquility.
The State Anthem has been the son “Menyn Kazakhstanym” (My Kazakhstan) since January 2006.
