Russian MPs Met with Delegation of Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Republic

On 23 September 2020, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation provided a venue for the meeting of the Russian MPs with the delegation of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic. The meeting was focused on the studying Russian language in Azerbaijan and the preservation of historical memory on the Great Patriotic War.

Chair of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Commonwealth Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Outreach to Compatriotic Communities Abroad Leonid Kalashnikov opened the meeting and said that the relations between Russia and Azerbaijan kept up the momentum and that the parliaments cooperated actively both on the levels of the relevant committees, groups of friendship and commissions and within the framework of the inter-parliamentary platforms.
