Tajik Senators Approve Penalties for Misinformation About Pandemic

The Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan adopted amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences, allowing for penalties for spreading misinformation about the pandemic.
Speaker of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rustami noted at the meeting of the chamber on 26 June that the pandemic had a significant impact on the Republic of Tajikistan, however, due to the timely measures adopted by the government the situation had improved.
The Speaker also noted the importance of improving the legislation in the field of healthcare, in particular, in epidemiology and virology.
