Uzbekistani Legislators Approved Draft Urban Planning Code

At its session on 5 August 2020, the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted in the second reading the draft revised Urban Planning Code. The document comprises the provisions on compensations for suffered damage caused by the demolition of objects and acquisition of land for state purposes. The Code is expected to increase the quality of renovation and construction projects and improve the architectural image of settlements.
