Uzbekistani and Tajikistani MPs Discussed Cooperation Issues

The parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Inoyatov is on an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. On 21 September 2020, a working meeting of the inter-parliamentary cooperation groups with the participation of Speaker of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali was held.

During the meeting, it was noted that, through the policy of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, relations between the two countries have reached a qualitatively new level of strategic partnership.

According to the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed issues of strengthening regional cooperation and turning Central Asia into a safe and stable region.
