Valentina Matvienko: Patriotic Project “Memory Train” Has a Great Future

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko met with the participants of the Russian-Belarusian project “Memory Train”. Schoolchildren spoke about their impressions of visiting historical places associated with the events of the Great Patriotic War. The Speaker of the Federation Council called the “Memory Train” an example of the fact that the peoples of the two countries not only share common values, but also literally think the same way and understand each other. Valentina Matvienko thanked Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova as one of the ideological inspirers of the project, as well as the regions that prepared the events along the train route.
