Commonwealth of Independent States turns 25 years

25 years ago, on 8 December 1991 the “Agreement Establishing the Commonwealth of Independent States” was signed in Belovezhskaya Pushcha Natural Park (also known as Belovezha accords). This document laid the foundation of the organization, which united most of the post-Soviet states. Today, the CIS includes 11 member nations.
