Republic of Kazakhstan celebrates the Defender of the Fatherland Day

Every year on 7 May the Republic of Kazakhstan celebrates the Defender of the Fatherland Day. This is a public holiday in the country. Astana will hold numerous events to celebrate the Defender of the Fatherland Day.
On 7 May 1992, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev signed a decree on establishing national armed forces.
