11th International Forum “Eurasian Economic Perspective” Kicked Off in Tavricheskiy Palace

The 11th International Forum “Eurasian Economic Perspective” kicked off in the Tavricheskiy Palace — the IPA CIS headquarters. The main topic of the Forum this year is “Sustainability, adaptivity and self-identification of the economic space of Greater Eurasia in the context of global transformation”.
Representatives of legislative and executive authorities of the Eurasian Union member states, members of the Eurasian Association of Universities, the CIS Executive Committee, academicians, economists, politicians, experts and public figures participate in the forum.
Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Chair of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Economy Igor Maksimtsev opened the plenary session of the forum.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted that for many years the forum had been an effective platform for expanding cooperation, as well as providing an opportunity to share experience and create new business and scientific ties.
The Secretary General added that in the current context of geopolitical and geo-economic transformation, the ability of states to adapt to foreign economic and political changes was crucial. Integration associations and international organizations, one of which is the IPA CIS, play a special role in the adaptability.
Member of the Board — Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasion Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev also took part in the plenary session.
The work of the forum will continue tomorrow at the UNECON in the format of the thematic sessions. Participants will consider the development of energy projects and hubs in the Eurasian region, new vectors for the development of personnel training for the tourism sector of the economy of Greater Eurasia, integration role of international transport and logistics corridors.
The thematic session “Transformation of Geopolitical Processes in the Eurasian Space in the Context of New Challenges” will be held with the IPA CIS Secretariat support.
