Ankara Hosts 61st Plenary Session of PABSEC General Assembly

The 61st Plenary Session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation takes place in the capital of the Republic of Türkiye. The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly is represented at the session by member of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation, Chair of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin. He noted that the IPA CIS and the PABSEC had cooperated for more than 20 years and highlighted that the dynamics of cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, social and humanitarian fields largely depend on the work of our parliamentarians.
Grigory Karasin informed the partners that the IPA CIS hosts discussions on the climate agenda, improving the legal framework in the field of ecology and environment management.
He noted the need to prevent the politicization of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
