CIS Advisory Board on Cooperation in Education Held Meeting

On 21 October 2020, a regular meeting of the CIS Advisory Board on Cooperation in Education was held via videoconferencing.

The event was attended by the members of the Advisory Board from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, the Republic of Uzbekistan and invited persons.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education, Professor Aleksandr Suryghin represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the meeting.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, the Advisory Board members discussed more than 20 issues at the meeting. In particular, the meeting discussed the state and prospects of development of the CIS basic organizations for the training of teachers in the field of historical and inclusive education, as well as the progress in the preparation of draft documents under the development.

The meeting considered the issue of holding a scientific and methodological symposium on the partnership of educational institutions in 2021. The VII and VIII congress of teachers and educators of the CIS will be held in 2022 and 2024 in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia respectively.

The Advisory Board members also approved the Work Plan for 2021-2022. Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Arthur Martirosyan was elected Chair of the CIS Advisory Board on Cooperation in Education for another term.
