Dmitriy Kobitskiy Met with Head of UNHCR Office in Russia Karim Atassi

On 23 November 2022, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy met with Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to the Russian Federation Karim Atassi in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters. Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Aleksey Dolzhikov also took part in meeting.
Dmitriy Kobitskiy highly appreciated cooperation between the IPA CIS and the UNHCR in general and the UNHCR office in the Russian Federation in particular. He invited Karim Atassi and his colleagues to take part in international parliamentary conference on counter-terrorism and the Labour Forum scheduled by the IPA CIS, as well as the work of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights.
Karim Atassi thanked the Secretary General for the mutually beneficial cooperation implemented by the two organizations and spoke warmly of the spirit of parliamentary diplomacy inherent in the IPA CIS events.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of further cooperation within the framework of the signed Memorandum of Understanding.
