Experts Discussed Promising Areas of Digital Development During Pandemic

Today, the 10th meeting of the Commission of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications on the Development of Information Society and Digital Transformation took place via video-conferencing.
The IPA CIS Council Secretariat was represented at the meeting by Head of the Model Law-Making Support Department Sergey Belousov and Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS – RCC Expert Council Alexander Surygin.
The RCC Commission members discussed promising areas of digital development, goals and solutions during the pandemic. A detailed dialogue took place on the issue of integration into the global information society.
In addition, the experts exchanged practical experience in organizing state regulation and management of national segments of the Internet.
The RCC Commission members discussed the progress in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and building the digital economy; the draft Priority Action Plan for the implementation of the CIS Strategy on Information Security until 2030; using the mechanisms of the CIS Intergovernmental Program of Innovative Cooperation until 2030 and a number of other issues on the development of the information society and digital transformation.
