NIEC Business Programme to Be Presented to Congress Organizers

Tavricheskiy Palace hosted a meeting on the Nevsky International Ecological Congress (NIEC). The participants discussed business programme architecture, agenda and list of participants of roundtables and environmental actions locations. The information will be provided to the NIEC organizers.
Participants led by First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Konstantiv Tsyganov inspected the venue of the Congress main events.
The meeting was moderated by Deputy Head of Secretariat of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Head of Administration Vitaliy Semikin.
Secretary General of IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy informed the participants about the work by parliamentarians, academia and experts of the Commonwealth countries who will take part in the events.
First Deputy Head of IPA CIS Council Secretariat Sergey Kurdin informed about engineering and technical preparatory works.
Advisor to the Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Oleg Makarov spoke about the youth agenda of the Congress.
The Roscongress Foundation representatives headed by Deputy Director Igor Pavlov also participated in the meeting.
According to Head of the Committee for Nature Use, Environmental Protection, and Ecological Safety of Saint Petersburg Alexander German, the Administration of Saint Petersburg worked on transport logistics schemes, medical support and city infrastructure.
10th Nevsky International Ecological Congress will be held on 25-26 May 2023. This year moto is “Ecology: a right, not a privilege”.
NIEC is one of the most important platforms for preparation of the environmental agenda and free dialogue among representatives of authorities, business, and academic circles in order to discuss the most acute and topical environmental issues.
