Demographic policies of the CIS countries will be discussed in Minsk

The group of experts on the approval of the draft Action Plan to Implement the Concept of Aligned Social and Demographic Policies of the CIS Countries will hold a meeting on 14-15 July in Minsk.
The draft plan includes actions in the spheres of labor welfare, social well-being, public health, demography, ecology, migration and promoting a favorable socio-cultural environment.
The document contains provisions that fix commitments to improve legal framework in social and demographic areas, to develop national laws on social and demographic policies building on the provisions of the Concept, and to host symposiums, consultations and meetings.
The Concept was developed to provide a comprehensive tool for the protection of social rights across the CIS, combining economic, political, legal, administrative measures and aiming at minimizing human rights violations. The Concept was approved by the CIS Council of Heads of Government in 2011.
