Four roundtables opened on the first day of the Congress

The Congress is an important platform for public policy making in Road Safety and that includes closing gaps in the legal regulations, said member of the IPA CIS SciEd PC Galina Nikolayeva. Together with Deputy Chief of Road Safety Unit at the MoI Vladimir Shvetsov she led the roundtable that discussed of driver training and educating other road users. We are challenged to raise awareness among all road users about safe behavior on roads and that includes better training of drivers. M Nikolayeva mentioned that recommendations of the previous congresses on new categories of licenses for various types of vehicles have already been implemented.
