Fundamental research discussed in Minsk

According to the CIS Execom press-service, the meeting of the Working Group on the subject matter takes place on 15-16 May.
The Working Group was formed under the accountability of the CIS Fundamental Research Cooperation Board and is mandated to accumulate and discuss proposals for further submission to the Board.
So far, Belarus and Tajikistan have submitted proposals on harmonizing the legal framework of research cooperation.
The Board was created in 2011 and includes representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine.
Its objectives are to facilitate cooperation between public authorities in the field of science, National Academies of Sciences and fundamental research institutions. It also advises on priorities of cooperation, developing and implementing intergovernmental programs, improving legal framework for cooperation and building a platform for exchanges in fundamental science.
