Military cooperation will be discussed in Astana

Representatives of the CIS Member Nations will discuss frameworks of military and technical cooperation in Astana during the meeting of the Coordination Committee on Air Defense at the Council of CIS Defense Ministers, reports the press office of the Russian Defense Ministry.
"The meeting will particularly focus on long-term planning of development and improvement of the frameworks of multi-lateral military and bi-lateral military/military and technical cooperation", said the Ministry. It will also approve the plan of joint efforts within the Unified Air Defense System of the CIS in 2017.
This year the delegation from Turkmenistan joined the meeting together with colleagues from the defense ministries of Armania, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Meetings of delegation heads will follow the main meeting.
