The CIS countries tax services enhance cooperation

The 23th meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Heads of Tax Services of the states – participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held on 10 October 2016 in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
The participants discussed relevant issues of cooperation in financial and economic sphere. Key topics of the meeting included introduction of electronic invoices and goods consignment notes, as well as integration of tax and customs risk management systems.
In the framework of implementation of the CIS economic development strategy, heads of tax services approved a draft Protocol on electronic information exchange between tax services of the Commonwealth member nations. The document will improve the administration procedures for the export and import revenue confirmation and minimize tax evasion.
The Council members pointed out that their interaction continued to be an efficient instrument of cooperation of CIS countries’ tax authorities. The parties also expressed confidence that the Council's international credibility and its role in tax agenda formulation would increase.
