• engage youth in political and civil life, support and deployment of youth-led initiatives;
• share best practices among young parliamentarians and youth leaders;
• identify priorities for parliamentary work related to youth policies, draft proposals and guidelines to address youth issues;
• improve law-making related to the rights and legitimate aspirations of youth.
The first Forum will take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 23-35 October 2014.
Youth delegations will include young parliamentarians of all levels; youth policy-makers; representatives of youth-led movements and NGOs; youth chapters of public authorities; young researchers, educators and artists from across the CIS.
The Forum will include plenary sessions, roundtables and workshops on youth-related issues and is expected to discuss the priorities of international cooperation in youth policy-making, law-making related to the rights and legitimate aspirations of youth, issues of youth education and leisure, promotion and support of youth-led initiatives, learning the lessons of international community in promoting youth involvement in public and community governance.
