Makhmadali Vatanzoda Appointed Coordinator of IPA CIS Observer Group for Parliamentary Elections in Kyrgyzstan

By order of Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council Valentina Matvienko, Chair of the Committee of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Ensuring Constitutional Foundations, Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms, and Legality Makhmadali Vatanzoda was appointed coordinator of the IPA CIS group of international observers for early parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The observer group will include representatives of the parliaments of the IPA CIS Member Nations, staff members and experts from the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD).
The IPA CIS international observers are participating in the monitoring of the elections at the invitation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Early parliamentary elections will be held on 30 November 2025. They will be held according to a new system: the country will be divided into 30 districts, from each of which three members will be elected to parliament.
Remote voting will be used for the convenience of voters, and polling stations will be opened at airports, markets, shopping malls, hospitals, and military units. It is planned to open 100 sites abroad.
The IPA CIS observer group is conducting long-term monitoring of the electoral campaign, during which meetings were held with the leadership of the Bishkek Administration, representatives of the Central Election Commission and District Election Commission, as well as candidates for the Jogorku Kenesh.
