Results of Work in 2024 of Bishkek Office of IPA CIS IIMDD Discussed in Tavricheskiy Palace

On 5 March, a meeting was held to summarise the results of the work of the Bishkek branch of the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy, Parliamentarism and Observance of Electoral Rights of Citizens of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS (IIMDD IPA CIS) in 2024. The event was held in the format of a video bridge between St. Petersburg and Bishkek.

The meeting was attended by Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Shabdanbek Alishev,  Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket, Chair of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic Tynchtyk Shaynazarov, Director of the IPA CIS IIMDD Bishkek office Nurbek Satvaldiev, members of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov and Daniyar Tolonov, experts of the Institute and staff members of the Secretariat. 

Nurbek Satvaldiev informed about the Office’s work in 2024.

He spoke about the participation of the Office’s staff in the observation of monitoring of election campaigns in the Commonwealth in 2024: presidential elections in Azerbaijan and Russia, parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan.

Also last year, for the third time, events of the Youth Electoral School were held in Issyk-Kul: lectures, master classes, group work and business games. With the support of the management and specialists of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic, the defense of “election campaigns” took place.
