Role of “Value Sovereignty” in Fight Against Distortion of History Discussed in Minsk

On 23 April, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus hosted the International Research to Practice Conference “Modern Public Administration: Status and Prospects of Development”.
The conference brought together researchers and officials from the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan to discuss current challenges and trends in public administration.
The conference was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket and the IPA CIS IIMDD staff members.
Summing up the results of the conference, the participants confirmed the importance of the historical formation of national models of public administration in the context of the leading position of the presidential institution in the system of public administration. They also noted that the improvement of the legal framework of public administration in the Commonwealth countries and the exchange of best practices in the field of digitalization of processes and training of officialsin the light of modern challenges determine a number of tasks that require the active participation of academia to solve.
