Commonwealth Experts Considered Tax Regulation and Platform Work Issues

On 27 September, a meeting of the IPA CIS Expert Advisory Board on Economy was held under the chairmanship of Rector of St. Petersburg State University of Economics Igor Maksimtsev.
Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy addressed the participants of the meeting and awarded the members of the Expert Advisory Board.
The meeting heard information on the progress of work on the chapters of the Model Tax Code for the CIS Member Nations and draft Model Laws on Standartisation, on Strategic Planning and on Licensing. The speakers presented the current results and plans for further development of the documents.
At the end of the meeting the members were informed about the decision of the IPA CIS Council to create a working group to develop a Model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency and Bankruptcy.
The next meeting is scheduled for April - May 2025.
