Tavricheskiy Palace Hosted Meeting of Expert Advisory Board at IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues

A meeting of the Expert Advisory Board at the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues was held today at the Tavricheskiy Palace.
The event was chaired by its Chair, judge of the 1st Western District Military Court, member of the council of the regional branch of all-Russian organization “Russian Association of Judges” in St. Petersburg Yury Kozlov.
Member of the Committee of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanna Asanova, who participated in the session online, presented a draft Model Law on the Legal Regulation of Countering Domestic Violence. The document aims to create an effective legal framework for the protection of victims, as well as to prevent and combat violence.
A revised document based on the suggestions will be presented at the next meeting.
The meeting also discussed the progress of work on a draft Model Laws on Agreements for Transfer of Property for Use and on Agreements for Performance of Work and Provision of Services.
The members of the Expert Advisory Board exchanged opinions on the proposals of the participants of the session of the Permanent Commission on Legal Issues held on 24 May 2024, heard information on the implementation of the decision of the meeting of the Expert Advisory Board held on 3 April 2024, as well as resolved organisational issues.
