Dmitriy Kobitskiy Briefed Russian Senators on Work of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly

Today, Secretary General of the Council of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Dmitriy Kobitskiy took part in a meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The event was chaired by Committee Chair Andrey Klishas.

The Secretary General informed senators about the progress in drafting model legislative acts and other documents, the Assembly’s legislative plans, as well as upcoming international events.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy recalled that with the active participation of the Federation Council, the Tavricheskiy Palace hosted the Fourth Eurasian Women’s Forum, the Conference on Countering International Terrorism, and the Eleventh Nevsky International Ecological Congress.

Ahead are the Second International Forum “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories” (to be held in Dagestan, 1–3 October, 2025), the Second International Conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS” (16–17 October, 2025), and the International Scientific and Educational Congress of CIS Member States (October 30–31, 2025).

Dmitriy Kobitskiy expressed gratitude to members of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for their effective and fruitful cooperation within the framework of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
